About me

Empowering Performance Through Science, Teaching, and Coaching

I am a passionate researcher in exercise physiology, dedicated university instructor, and experienced endurance coach. My journey combines scientific exploration, teaching excellence, and hands-on coaching to improve human performance.

COACHING

Alongside my scientific career, I have been coaching endurance athletes since 2013. Working with both groups and individuals, I help athletes enhance their performance, reach their endurance goals, and develop sustainable training strategies.

SCIENCE

My research focuses on understanding performance and fatigue during endurance exercise. Using trail running and cycling as primary models, I explore the effects of extreme fatigue on human physiology, analyzing how the body adapts to prolonged physical challenges.

Key research areas include:

  • Impact of ultramarathon fatigue on running economy.
  • Physiological factors influencing performance in trail races (40–170 km).
  • Comparison of cycling and running effects on fatigue and performance after 3 hours.
  • Role of technical terrain on running efficiency during trail running.
  • Exercise intensity’s effect on fatigue, efficiency, and peak performance.

TEACHING

Since 2017, I have taught undergraduate and graduate students at three universities in France and Canada. My teaching focuses on bridging theory with practical application in areas such as:

  • Fundamentals of human and exercise physiology.
  • Endurance training and energy system development.
  • Performance assessment through physiological testing.
  • Training programming and monitoring.
